Home-based Authentication Protocol for Nomadic Users
نویسنده
چکیده
We are witnessing the increasing need for pervasive Internet access from public places, such as airports and hotels. However, the inherent untrusted nature of public places makes deployment of public area wireless networks challenging. We have proposed the Home-based Authentication Protocol (HAP) that provides a framework by which to establish trust between a nomadic client and a service provider using a trusted third party (home). Depending on the role of the client at it’s home organization, the HAP protocol is also able to assist the service provider in efficient service differentiation.

A Mutual Authentication Method for Internet of Things
Today, we are witnessing the expansion of various Internet of Things (IoT) applications and services such as surveillance and health. These services are delivered to users via smart devices anywhere and anytime. Forecasts show that the IoT, which is controlled online in the user environment, will reach 25 billion devices worldwide by 2020. Data security is one of the main concerns in the IoT. ...

Nowadays Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems have appeared in lots of identification and authentication applications. In some sensitive applications, providing secure and confidential communication is very important for end-users. To this aim, different RFID authentication protocols have been proposed, which have tried to provide security and privacy of RFID users. In this paper, we a...
متن کاملOn Securing Wireless LANs and Supporting Nomadic Users with Microsoft’s IPSec Implementation
Wireless LANs, like the IEEE 802.11 WLANs, are more vulnerable than their wired counterparts. The IEEE 802.11 specification includes an encryption protocol, WEP (Wired Equivalent Protocol), but this protocol inhibits severe weaknesses: there is no automatic key distribution protocol and WEP’s security itself has been shown to be seriously flawed. As a result, many of today’s IEEE 802.11 network...

The wireless communication with delivering variety of services to users is growing rapidly in recent years. The third generation of cellular networks (3G), and local wireless networks (WLAN) are the two widely used technologies in wireless networks. 3G networks have the capability of covering a vast area; while, WLAN networks provide higher transmission rates with less coverage. Since the two n...
